I was at Matt Palmer's house today (I am feeding his cat while he is out of town this week) and he had the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I couldn't help myself, I leafed through it until I found this part. In the book Snape does tell the class to turn to page 394 but he doesn't burst into the class like he does in the movie. I like the movie version better!
Ever since I made my first big decision to leave home and leave behind my status quo life I have had one eye-opening experience after another. Leaving behind everything I knew has put me in touch with so much I had never known, both about myself and the world. Traveling has opened my eyes to other ways of life, other cultures, and other people. Now, as I re-insert myself into working society, I am bringing a fresh new perspective and hope to find a home well suited to it.
Perhaps you´ve been reading along with my blog and have asked yourself how you can help or if you can donate. Now, if you´d like to donate, all you need to do is click on the ¨Donate¨ button below and enter an amount.
Every donation of any amount is appreciated and needed. The school not only needs to pay off the remaining $30,000 from the construction bill for the new classrooms, but also needs money for:
- CD players for each class (the old ones are very beat up and this is the only technology provided for each classroom) - Fans for the high school classrooms who have classes in the afternoon - 3 new computers for the school (currently there are 3 in the library) - A new washing machine for the community - A new guitar or electric piano to play during mass and school gatherings - Assistance for some students to pay for their schooling
This is just a short list of much needed items. Any amount you can donate will be gratefully received and used.
